The University of Manchester Conferences and Venues offers a range of AIM accredited venues in truly inspiring Nobel Prize winning surroundings-the place where the atom was split, the computer conceived, and wonder material Graphene discovered-this is a great place to consider hosting your next event in Manchester. Events can be accommodated throughout the year at a number of our venues, including Manchester Meeting Place and Barnes Wallis buildings, located in the city centre,seating from 6 boardroom to 200 theatre style, the stunning neo-Gothic Whitworth Hall, available for formal dinners up to 300 as well as a series of boardrooms within the building for smaller meetings, and the adjacent Christies Bistro, ideal for drinks receptions or private dining. The University also has its own 3 star hotel Chancellors, which celebrates 21 years in 2018, and is available for day meetings up to 130 theatre style and offers 72 recently refurbished bedrooms. National Conference Centre

The Davenport

Steeped in history, the Davenport Hotel dates back to the early 17th century. The building, where the Davenport is located, was formerly Merrion Hall, a prayer hall which was designed to be able to accommodate up to 2000 worshippers. Unfortunately, a fire in 1990 destroyed the interior but luckily the impressive and historically important facade survived and is listed and retained as an impressive lobby for the luxurious and modern O’Callaghan Davenport Hotel in Dublin, (you may recognise it from the film Hear my song). The Davenport Hotel has three meeting rooms which can cater for meetings and conferences from 16 to 250 delegates in a desirable central Dublin location.  The Gandon Suite offers two rooms with flexible options for your conferences. The additional Gandon central space links the two rooms and offers an additional boardroom style space, perfect for intimate meetings or as a breakout space.
