Testimonials

Institute of Water

On behalf of the IOW SW Region I’d like to formally thank you and the SS Great Britain team for facilitating such a great afternoon and evening for us on Friday. We are still evaluating the feedback forms collected on the day, but we have received very many positive comments about the event via social media and email as well as verbally.
We were pleased with the preparation and organisation and the good attention to detail – as well as the willingness to help of all the SS Great Britain people we encountered. In the evening the food was very good indeed and the catering staff equally attentive and friendly. Last, and by no means least, Bob the Chief Steward did a simply excellent job with his ongoing informative and enthusiastic commentary on the ship.
Please pass on our thanks to all involved.

I’m just writing to say thank you for your team’s support and all of their hard work yesterday at our Away Day. They did a really good and the Library Team had a very successful day. From my side of things, thank you for being so flexible with the room arrangements. We managed to fit everything into the room and your staff were really considerate in tiptoeing round with the food whilst we had presentations going on. I really appreciated this. It's a great room, particularly because it’s so quiet and it has a lot of light. We also had a talk about Brunel as one of our activities, so I’m now even more interested in the SS Great Britain as a result.

Environment Agency

Everyone loved the venue and it will definitely be high on our list for future events. The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. All of the staff at SS Great Britain were extremely helpful and professional, our steward Steve was available to us all day which made a big difference and makes the venue stand out from others we have used. Everyone loved the vegetarian buffet and having the opportunity to look around the ship during the lunch break really was the icing on the cake! Please thank your colleagues on behalf of everyone who attended.

Office of Rail and Road

The day ran very smoothly. The availability of the staff was excellent. I always had someone to speak to if I had an issue or a problem and someone on the door for visitors in and out was brilliant. I wanted to make a mention to the catering staff, who I thought was excellent. They were friendly and helpful and around when needed too.

Macmillan Cancer Support

For our events we always try to look for an interesting venue, something historical or a famous landmark and the SS Great Britain just ticked all the boxes. It worked out great as the event was sold out, with at least half of the attendees feeding back that it was the venue that attracted them. It was very useful to have the meeting rooms beside the ship

Association for Volunteer Management

It was one of the best events/catering teams I've worked with this year (we run one event per month, usually in London but also across the UK)
